Since 2005, ProInfo has worked with partners in Bulgaria and across Europe to strengthen citizen participation, public-interest communication and democratic engagement. Our experience combines crowdsourcing and citizen participation, strategic communication, digital engagement and practical support for civil society — often testing new approaches that we carry forward into our work today. Here is a list of the most important initiatives that we have realised in the past years:
Creating Positive Citizen Narratives: Developing and testing new ways for civil society organisations to communicate their work through positive, engaging narratives that connect with people beyond their established audiences.
CODE Europe: Using crowdsourcing across Europe to bring citizens into policy discussions on air quality and demonstrate how large-scale participation can contribute to better public decisions.
DIGIDEM: Exploring how digital tools and new forms of participation can strengthen democratic engagement and help citizens become more actively involved in European public life.
#YouImpact: Helping civil society organisations strengthen their storytelling, digital communication and marketing skills so that important causes can reach and engage wider audiences.
DEEP-Linking Youth: Connecting young people with European decision-making and creating opportunities for meaningful participation in discussions about policies that affect them.
U-Impact One: Developing communication and engagement approaches that help organisations understand their audiences and turn public-interest ideas into participation and action.
JoiEU: Bringing European issues closer to citizens through communication, participation and opportunities to engage with debates about Europe and its future.
